According to the Hollywood Reporter Daniel Lee was hit by a lawsuit Tuesday by SAG-AFTRA.

Daniels made Shadowboxer, which starred Cuba Gooding Jr., Helen Mirren and Joseph Gordon-Levitt, pursuant to the terms of the collective bargaining agreement for independent producers but has failed to send along required reports about the distribution of the movie or make payments.

SAG-AFTRA took Daniels to confidential arbitration over this issue all the way back in 2009.

Daniels production company owed more than “$335,000, consisting of $169,630 in residuals, $25,323 in pension and health contributions and $93,544 in late payment liquidated damages, plus more for taxes and expenses.”

The union has said they have reached out to Lee several times but he has yet to respond.

Lately Lee has been hit with a lot of lawsuits mostly from people claiming that Lee stole Empire idea from them.
