Was Jay Z And Damon Dash Ever Friends

In a recent interview Damon Dash had with Wiretapped Live he discusses his relationship with Jay Z. Dash claims that he and Kanye West are just as close as they were back in the day, but he can't say the same for Jay.

Dash was kicked out of the company he helped find with Jay Z. “Jay made a point that I shouldn’t have it,” he said of Roc-A-Fella. “I was thinking at the time it must’ve been ‘cause he wanted it but it couldn’t have been because there’s no Roc-A-Fella no more. So what was the purpose?" Dash is convinced that the relationship was not real because business tore it up to easily.

Dash says that “I become friendly with people I work with. I really thought we were friends, but I guess I got gaffled.” What do you all think? Do you all think Jay Z was truly ever friends with Damon Dash or was it strictly business between the two?
